So proud of these two for taking a leap of faith and venturing out into the unknown.  This year we are walking out in Faith as we follow where God leads us!

My passion and love for homeschooling is strong, so it came as quite a surprise to me when I felt like God was pointing us 👉 in a different direction this year! It was a still small voice, an overwhelming tugging in my heart. I was already planning for the  upcoming school year and even had all my curriculum ready to order. As we planned for this next school year, God directed our footsteps leading us down a different path. He opened doors and we walked through them!

It's been an adjustment and there have been tears, but we are learning to trust and lean into God during those moments. For the past 5 years I have been their teacher. Not only did I learn THEIR LEARNING style, they learned MY TEACHING style. My desire was to instill in them a desire to learn and a love for knowledge! They learned how to learn. I learned how to teach. We learned together and we grew together!! Letting go is not easy!

This year they are learning to focus through the distractions and learn among their peers. They are learning to problem solve on their own as they navigate their day, their emotions, their friendships, their conflicts, their worries and fears.  I pray that in the difficult times they learn to persevere ...For we know that perseverance produces, character; and character produces, hope. (Romans 5:4)

There is so much excitement at the end of the day when they come home! My excitement to see them and hear about their day is overwhelming!! They love their teachers, this new style of learning, recess, music class, field trip opportunities and meeting new friends!

Is this the end of homeschool? If there is one thing I have learned in the last 5 years it's this.... Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean NOT on YOUR own understanding, but in ALL your ways ACKNOWLEDGE HIM and He will DIRECT your paths!  (Proverbs 3:5-6). What we're truly learning is whether or not we are willing to let go and let God lead! What I do know is that homeschool is more of a lifestyle and though this year may look different for us,  our lifestyle will remain the same. There is sooo much that we will always be needing to teach our kids and what a blessing it is that God entrusted us!

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11.

With God in the driver's seat it sure is a wild ride, but it is so worth it!!
