This picture pretty much sums up what I thought my life would look like. We planned for a big family, but God's plans were different than my own. "Man plans for his future, but the Lord determines his footsteps".
The crazy thing is I wasn't wrong in what I pictured my life to look like... It just isn't exactly what I had planned. I've been pondering a lot on my 9yr old's analogy of the sloth 🦥 and how it relates to God. God works in His time and in His way. I just love that In His way and in His time He has and is fulfilling the desires of my heart.
"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this" Psalms 37:4-5
"Do not lean on your own understanding, but I all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths" Proverbs 3:5-6.
The picture is of my 2 big girls playing with their two little cousins. If you can't tell they are in the water 🌊 on a boat 🚢 that Olivia is the captain of 👧⚓☸️. Zoey is taming her horse 🐎 as the little girls make it to the island 🏝️. The imagination of these girls is endless!!
I am so grateful that in this season right now, I get to enjoy having 4 littles in my home! The giggles are constant as are the tears👶😭🤣... and I wouldn't have it any other way❤️!! I'm so grateful for my sister and her husband and for their little family❤️. I'm so grateful for this time to cherish my nieces and getting to know them so well! I'm so grateful for the help of my girls and how they are learning to be little caregivers. I'm so grateful for the bond they are establishing with those little cousins. I'm so grateful for the lessons they are learning... AND taking to heart that they are role models with little eyes watching their EVERY move!
I just Love how God moves and works and how he prepares our hearts every step of the way! God is Good!!
